On Tuesday 22 September at 7 pm we met on the north side of the Ponte del Mare and set off at sunset. It was six kilometres: some people ran it, some walked it, and we stayed together for two hours.

The run closed the Municipality of Pescara's programme for European Mobility Week, which this year was about mobility for everyone. The week had opened on 16 September with “Il diritto di muoversi” (the right to move), a conference by the Department of Architecture of d'Annunzio University. In the days after came Legambiente's Giretto d'Italia, Bike to Work and Bike to School with FIAB Pescarabici, the Bike Check at the temporary bike repair workshop and, on the afternoon of the 22nd, Strade in gioco with Pescara a piedi liberi.

Paola and Roberta came too. They run as a pair: one of them pushes, the other is in a wheelchair. Their fundraiser for the New York City Marathon is called “Insieme fino al traguardo” (together to the finish line).

Thanks to ASD Pescara Marathon and Riviera Social Hub, who ran with us, and to everyone who came.
